In this debut novel, when scientist Lyle Darmouth, is taken up the road to a bar known as the Arbor Mountain Tavern, he never could have guessed the horrors that were to come. Rickie suggests Lyle should see a priest to discuss the event, and try to receive some psychological help. He receives good advice, and feels better afterwards. But the talk becomes a catalyst toward a scientific breakthrough. Lyle creates a drug that asks the ultimate question, "Would you want to know your exact time of death?"
