A Gathering of men
Kyle Sales
Stan Hubbard, an N. Y. U. graduate was trying to make his mark in Corporate America. After ten years of frustration, Stan finds himself once again on the outside looking in. He loses his last job of three years, and becomes burnt out. While unemployed, and with time on his hands, Stan notices the changes in his neighborhood. He had not really paid much attention to it while trying to make it in the business world. He shares his concerns with two of his friends Darrell Hill and Philip Wellington III, both attorneys. Darrell an Assistant District Attorney is also burnt out by the ways of the system and the frustration that comes with it. He expresses his feelings to Stan and Phi by telling them how bad it feels every time he helps lock up his own people, one after another. Phil, a corporate lawyer is the victim of passive racism. Even with all his success, he still felt he was the token and needed a change in his life as well. As Stan sets up the meeting for the three to make up their strategy plan, he would learn that his older brother Melvin, an ex-con, would be a big factor as well. The four men would meet and later would build a massive conglomerate that would change the black community and strengthen their race as well. Education, respect, honor, dignity, murder and deception would all have an impact on the men and their lives.
