Four weeks after she was born, she was thrown away and left to die. That didn't happen, thanks to Carol, a good vet, and a lot of determination. That's what makes Sassy what she is, a very determined feline. So what if she is flea bitten, moth eaten, sway backed, and full of ring worms. She is alive and sassy. She has a couple of good feline friends with the names of Thomas R, and Joker to help her to make life better for other people. The three of them manage to make the town of Hazelton, Oregon a better place to live. They save the life of a kitten thrown away in a mud puddle, help a young tomcat that is struggling with finding himself after being picked on. Then when it is discovered that the neighbor boy and his mother are being beaten, Sassy and friends get the police involved to save a life. Later, a trip to the local nursing home for pet day, brings happiness and understanding to a lonely man who is dying of loneliness and a broken heart, grieving for his wife.
