Maggie Montgomery is happy and content with her life on her little ranch north of Reno, Nv. where she lives with her dog and an Arabian mare named, Dancer. Then one stormy, spring night a stranger knocks on her door and her is changed forever.

Trying to help her sister's failing marriage, she finds herself on a rescue mission to save her niece from a kidnapper and her sister from a sinister murder plot.
