The first book of this series, "Quest for a Family Pet", is derived from a true story of how three young children try to "butter up" mom to purchase a puppy for their family. This adventure is told through the eyes of Nique (pronounced NEEK), the 10 year old big brother who is very funny and too smart for his own good. In this book Nique, Nick, and Nelle are very creative as they try to convince mom that they are ready to care for a pet. Mom loves her children very much, and would love for them to have a pet. But are they really ready for a puppy?
