The mahgil were charged with preventing the Apocalypse from coming too early, and when it came, they were to assist those who sided with God in the war. The Apocalypse is set for a certain time to happen. But The Dark Lord Satan wants to begin his war immediately. For thousands of years, the mahgil performed their duties in secret, erasing themselves from history. They combated Satan's creations that escaped the inferno of Hell, preparing themselves for Armageddon. And now, Satan's strength has grown and he has built his armies to an overwhelming size.
