The Literature of My Spirit: the Anthology of My Human Experience Nancy Paulin

This book is the culmination of much of my life's travels. Each poem has its own touch of reality, itsown source of my life's energy carefully assembled in contextual subject matter,so that they may bring to each reader a picture, rather than words only, ofwhere I visited. I cannot say that Ihave experienced all of what is written personally, but I do hope that in yourreading you will find in them a twin of your own life. Some time ago, I began writing, and jotting downwords of different stories that crossed my path, and then realized that I wason a journey to finding out about me, about those around me, about those ofwhom I have never seen before. In sosaying, I have taken poetic liberty to speak about the occurrences in the waythe words surfaced in my heart. I trieddesperately to capture all of what was touched, seen or heard with the upmostrespect and appreciation of the person, time and all other concerns. This writing has allowed me to expressthoughts of the life I have lived, while carefully tracing how my life hasaffected the lives of those around me. Realizingthat for most of us, our lives are spent unnoticed by the world at large, butfor the few who are watching, I accepted the reality of my weaken human state,my imperfections. There is much powerfound in our spirits when we reach deeply past those things that linger in thedark, hidden so that we cannot be judge for not being perfect, for not beingloved, for not being trusted, for not being who our family, friends, and otherswould ask us to be.
