Marsh (SIS/MI6) with Howell (MI5) were intent on closing down the Berlin based Gorgih crime family UK operations led by Michealov Gorgih. On discovering the Gorgih family were intent on stealing research data from the UK Ministry of Defence and who within the Government and Banking community were associated with this scheme, Marsh calls on ex-field operatives or retreads to solve the problem. Hacket was in London awaiting final instructions for a private commission and receives a telephone call from Grimshaw, a retread colleague, and what appears to be a straight forward case of assisting in establishing an office in Richmond, London for a German company soon draws him into a web of deceit, corruption and blackmail. Michealov Gorgih had planned their Richmond operation well but even he did not foresee the surprises that lay ahead which were thrown up by the hidden agendas of those he had involved. No more so than those within their own family, with his brother undertaking his own operation and his vengeful step sister out to settle a lover's score. Outside of the Richmond operation there were also others who were to cause unforeseen problems. One being from the ambitious Jonathan Wallace who believes he can save his defence software company from financial ruin and land a seat on the Board if only he obtain the same research data the Gorgih's want for resale. Hacket does not at first comprehend how large a scale and involved the whole Richmond operation actually is and finds him self trying to satisfy all his paymasters, the Gorgih family, his private client and the SIS. The question is ... how successful and how far will Hacket cross the line to accomplish this balance?Much more to be found on http://www.mbchattelle.me.uk
