Blue 60 is a football term used by the quarterback to change the play at the line of scrimmage. This book is about a fifteen year old boy as he enters his sophomore year of high school and the changes that occur as a result of decisions he has made. The forks in the road for a young kid come fast and furiously and the consequences can be dire. Deuce Wheeler has started out with the wrong crowd on the wrong road and the process of getting back to a better place becomes the story of his life. One night he and his buddies do something that bring a charge of sexual harassment. When the boys are finally brought face to face with what they have done, Deuce finds out who his friends really are. The decision to go it alone against the gang, leavers him sadder, wiser and actually in danger. The challenges in his personal life are mirrored by what happens to him on the football field. Both are in real jeopardy as the book moves to its climax.
