Motivated by a large posted reward, the Salton team uncovers clues that lead to two motorbike-riding cousins. Jake's plan to trap the bandits involves him in an unanticipated cross-country motorcycle race. The team is kept busy at school as well. The principal asks for their help to solve the mystery of the missing time on the scoreboard clock. They uncover much more than just a time discrepancy. Of course, like the first two Jake Salton Adventure books, "The Joyriding Club" includes great information panels that highlight the science ideas encountered by the teens during their investigations. "The Joyriding Club" is an informative and entertaining read for avid 12 + year-old.
