NFL hopeful Rodney Morgan had it all until he wouldn't do the bidding of a dangerous mob boss named, Genco Guiseppe. Morgan, trying to stay incognito, turns down the job until he is confronted by Genco Guiseppe's thugs who intend to finish the job they started years ago. Guiseppe sees a large profit can be made while betting on the underdog Hornets during their games. Morgan rushes back to the field house and asked for the job he turned down hours earlier. He then throws himself and the Hornets into an intense training program, as his life literally depends on it. But jealous coaches conspire to destroy Morgan's success by ruining the Hornets in a multitude of ways during the season. But one defeat means the Hornets are eliminated from the High School Championship Tournament and Rodney will have to pay with his life.
