A Quiver of Flowers
Raghu Tantry
A Quiver of Flowers is a collection of 31 poems spanning over more than 3 and half decades - through teenage and adulthood. They have been arranged in no special order - neither chronological, nor evolutionary, nor category, but just alphabetical, since the poet believes that even as he wrote a poem at any given age, there is a child hidden in every adult, and an adult emerging in any child. Bunched together they form "A Quiver of Flowers" symbolical of robustness, energy, and organization, each 'flower' offering simple peace, yet devoid of any potential for malice or violence. They may also purport to be benign thoughts that have gained virility in a melting pot that was powerfully recycled from past competitiveness.
