THE SHIFT OF 2012 shattered civilization as we know it. Governments crumbled as quickly as the granite buildings that housed their bureaucracy. In addition, individuals with psychic abilities were invited to join the new community known as Haven. Four hundred years later, the citizens of Haven enjoy an idyllic and peaceful existence. Haven is protected by The Sentinels, Wabanaki warriors descended from the Algonquin Nation. The Sentinels have added Asian martial arts to their traditional Native American skills and battle techniques. The Wabanaki love peace as much as those they ward, but are fierce in battle and faithful to the oaths that their forefathers swore long ago. Emlyn O'Donnell is a boy of unprecedented gifts.
