Eco Ella is a paper doll book that illustrates and tells the story of a girl that lives a sustainable lifestyle. Eco Ella is intended for years 6 - 12, but can be enjoyed by all ages. It may be used as an activity book to benefit from a tactile experience or kept for aesthetic purposes. Eco Ella is an inspiration to people who want to live greener and leave a smaller footprint on this earth. From my experience working with children, I know they enjoy role playing as adults such as in the game of house or pretending to work at a store. The settings in Eco Ella play out a different aspect of life in which the child will aspire to imitate. Every page teaches a lesson on how to use less resources and it shows the beauty in the simple life. As an educator, artist and environmental activist at a time when the fight against global warming and the depletion of our natural resources has never been more of a necessity, this publication is my way of contributing to create a healthier planet, now and for future generations.
