This book investigates the challenges facing adult cancer patients and family care givers from cancer diagnosis, treatment, through a prolong recovery. It utilizes a grounded theory approach from a symbolic interpretative perspective and interpretative, constructivist paradigm in analyzing various Internet Interactive cancer asynchronous communications, and synchronous chat spaces, emails, and bulletin board entries of adult cancer patients and family care givers who subscribe to those sites. This new qualitative technique is a careful, disciplined and yet imaginative, and resourceful approach to move towards a clearer picture and understanding of the social life of cancer victims and family member who cares for them by reading about their cancer life history accounts as they journey through recovery.
