A scientist and educator from North Florida, Professor McCoy has crafted a charming series of adventure stories that both entertain and edify. Designed to be read to children at their bedtime, they were inspired by the impromptu bedtime stories his father would tell him as a child.

Because children learn many of their language skills by listening to adults, these stories incorporate a higher level of vocabulary than what is typically found in children?s books. To assist with unfamiliar words and pronunciations, instructional glossaries are provided in addenda at the end of the books, these also include basic science information and simple experiments for kids.

Created primarily as lighthearted adventure tales, the stories teach as well, in a subtle yet engaging style much about our world, including the importance of social skills such as cooperation and kindness.
