This is an adventure story for children of all ages. It concern a young girl Samantha Green who moves to the country with her parents. She has an encounter with the 'A' Team, three boys playing at soldiers. The have an enemy they call 'The Blighter'. Samantha is recruited as they assume she's a boy. Their adventures include battles with 'The Blighter' and his gang, Fishing and the Engine of War, The Mystery of Pringle Lodge and Buzzy and the Rustlers. The stories are informative and humorous.
