Publisher Marketing: Having missed out on the Summer of Love during the latter part of the 1960's, two adventurous friends, Lefty and Pancho, try to recreate that magic in Austin, Texas, in a classic road-tale filled with a wild psychedelic experience that leads them to the furthest southern region of America- Key West. The trip is enhanced by the colorful twenty-four hour a day debauchery that is everyday life in the Keys. There they find the insanity that will expand their worldview of a land gone mad. This adventure was something they did not take lightly and researching the experience from fellow travelers was imperative. After checking and rechecking their list, it was time to dive "Into the Mystic" waters of Barton Springs. As the drug begins to take effect, they wander the crazy byways and familiar landmarks in Key West and are almost driven mad by the sheer power of the "sacrament" causing them to re-evaluate the necessity of venturing into unfamiliar surroundings in the first place. Love and danger are in the air as the pair confront inner demons from deep inside their souls. They become confused when the drug just will not stop and they are driven almost to the brink of insanity. They emerge from the waters of Barton Springs vastly changed by the experience and try to figure out what had happened...or if it had happened at all. Had they ever really left the safety of the giant natural springs? Or had they somehow been swept away on a cosmic cloud of peyote dust? One thing was for sure- Lefty and Pancho had become changed men.
