There is a Dutch saying: 'We never know what happens behind closed curtains.' This is certainly the case when talking about the Dutch Hypercalvinist churches I grew up in. Covering myself religiously from head to toe, abuse from my father and twisted doctrines by the church left me in utter despair. This is my story, which I have written to take you on a journey into the closed, mysterious and sectarian world of the Hypercalvinists with its beliefs and traditions.
