You will note, in depicting the scenes, that the actual time and date are given to guide you through the eventful career of the principals. The scenes are natural, and are brought to your notice daily. What we do claim is, that the dictates of conscience prevail throughout. The sacrifice exhibited is natural and the description of the action of the soldiers and the noble display of bravery are all too true. In all, as you follow through the many perilous scenes and incidents of this romantic novel, may the lesson taught bring us closer to mankind and that we may be charitable in thought and deed. As time passes, we are slowly drawing to the place where there is no race, no creed, no color.
