Pictures from the mind is a description of a number of inner journeys that spread over a year. Manna Hjelmsmark lost her husband after a long ad happy marriage. Shortly after his death she began ? with wonder and scepticism ? to experience an inner world that she could open up or close down at will just as described by shamans and mystics and people who work with other states of consciousness. The episodes are given here in texts and pictures ? watercolours ? and have served as a help to come to terms with the overwhelming sorrow which the writer felt but was not able to express.
