NOTE TO EDUCATOR/COUNSELOR: When I discuss Molly's Field of Dreams with the children, I explain how they were a lot like Molly before they knew me. I show them Molly as a weed, all closed up, unapproachable, angry, and afraid. I then show them as they begin to trust me, they, like Molly, begin to show their inner beauty. (In the book there are several pages that display the stages of Molly's growth.) Then the final goal is to have the child bloom into the beautiful flower he/she was destined to be. The children will love to see where they are in their relationship with you in comparison to Molly the flower. Molly's Field of Dreams really boosts self esteem and encourages children to open up.
