Two well-off familes are in and out of danger: with Susan Rey Lord and Wren Laura Rich on the outs due to varied opinions of Wren not wanting to give out sex to any man. Susan Rey plans revenge on her for leaving her alone in a house with her free-for-all man. Sergeant Dogwood Comes meets Susan Rey Lord when she sees a murder off the highway (coming back from her man). She had called the cops and the chief officer arrives to hear her version seeing the body. He is attracted to her, but her sister Darma really takes his fancy when he goes hog wild stealing from Marcella Lord, since she ruined his police career not working fast enough when a double of Darma Lord is murdered and Marcella feels the body found is her daughter killed by her husband gone wacky. Like the title infers: The truth, lies and more deception from some wicked heartless males.
