These stories represent a retelling of God and how at times God is good, but often and eventually, God may be very bad for our species as a whole. And when God gets in the way of survival, ultimately survival will win out. Approaching God from different perspectives, both in time and place, Inspired By God reframes the concept of God in an open-minded, expansive way which gives insight into why and how human beings believe. Once people accept and take on the responsibility of our unique role as the most advanced species yet to have been created by our Universe, the Human Race eventually will become the driving force intellectually to advance our species, as well as spread and extend life far into the future and beyond the constraints of Planet Earth. Like a parent, God has guided us this far, but now it?s time to take on the world and move away from our parents warm embrace and realize this Universe wipes out more life than it creates. Written to challenge the religious and the idea we call ?God,? these stories may have been Inspired By God but not necessarily ?God inspired? or supported. They are intended to challenge and inspire thoughts about ones faith - not to offend or disgrace, and not to dismiss or disprove any religious doctrine or deeply held belief. Through this set of stories, Retlaw expresses to the reader the idea that we should put our faith in the people we see every day - our family, friends, and neighbors ? and most importantly, ourselves, and be grateful for the life all around us.
