The second volume in my new fantasy series. Tylis and Leuan are attempting to round up various people from across the Empire and perhaps beyond, for some as yet undisclosed reason. Mysterious demon Raes is proving reluctant to help them in any way. Meanwhile, the magician's guild is slowly being pieced together, whilst back in Althine City the new Empress struggles against prejudice and against the growing troubles that threaten her Empire, unusual weather patterns, rebellion, rumours of dragons far to the north. And in the desert, a new leader has emerged amongst the feared Kar'ath, drawing the clans and tribes together once again.
