Publisher Marketing: Prayers, reflections and activities to RENEW those who teach, guide or minister to youth. This is a book to help those in the incredible calling to work with youth. It includes scripture, prayers, reflections/activities and suggestions on how to use the book. Your actions and words can Inspire greatness, Show compassion, Teach kindness, And reveal God. Excerpt: "Welcome to this prayer journey, offered as a source of renewal on tough days and reinforcement on the smoother days. You may choose to follow the 40 prayers sequentially (daily or weekly) or to browse it and use a specific number for an objective. We pray that each set (Scripture, Prayer, Reflections/Activities) will help you to focus your goals. Being a guide to our youth carries incredible responsibility and opportunity. Any adult working with adolescents on a consistent basis knows that there are many rewards and many challenges. Sometimes we don't get to see the positive effects of our efforts and don't feel appreciated. Other times we watch amazing growth and transformation. It is our hope that this book will provide you with encouragement and support in the relationships that you develop with youth. No matter what role you have in influencing a young person, you have the potential to have a powerful impact. A prayerful focus in your interactions with those you work/minister with or for will help you to deepen your relationship with God and strengthen the connections you make with the youth you reach out to." Contributor Bio:  Singleton, Stephanie R Stephanie R. Singleton holds a Master's of Science degree in Special Education and a Bachelor's of Art Degree in Bilingual Education. She currently resides in the Hudson Valley and has been teaching Special Education since 1999. In October of 2010, one of her students suddenly took his life. The sudden death was life changing; she found herself reflecting on her purpose as a woman of faith in education. Stephanie felt prompted after hearing a prayer written by her co-teacher that a book needed to be created to help other Christians to be a light to youth in a secular environment. During her time of healing from this loss, her first book called Empowering Youth with Purpose: Prayers, reflections and activities for those who teach, guide or minister to youth (2011) was co-authored. This was the beginning of the organization A Teacher's Light (www.ateacherslight.org). After writing her first book, Stephanie felt compelled once again to embark on a path of writing. This time, God unexpectedly birthed a desire to share her personal battle and success with weight loss and fitness with others in her second book called Mommy is it a sin to be fat? Life lessons my Father taught me and to write A Journal for Your Weight Loss Journey. PAUSE-66 (www. Pause66.com) was then created to remind believers in Jesus Christ that no matter what decisions or actions are taken, it all needs to be rooted in the word of God. Stephanie has been happily married since 2000 to her husband Austin and they have two daughters named Autumn and Alena. She and her husband have participated in youth ministry and currently serve as leaders over a growing marriage ministry and finance ministry at their church. They are also involved in social service endeavors and do outreach in their community and surrounding areas. Stephanie is available for faith-based speaking engagements.
