Deep Texas
Cole Stallings
A homeless woman who considers herself a psychic has terrifying visions of the death of a young girl named "Mickey." When she turns to the Houston Police Department for help, her hippie appearance and her annoying habit of burning incense to create the proper "vision atmosphere" does not go well with the reknowned murder squad and she's branded a screwball and banned from the station house. When Lela threatens to go to the local media, she's turned over to a rookie female patrol officer named Jessi Cole. Officer Cole views the assignment as an punishment but decides to check out the name "Mickey," with the help of a friend in the Records Division. The mystery deepens when Jessi comes up with a missing girl named "Michelle Sandovol," that matches the information Lela Starr has given her. The ensuing investigation finds Jessi and Lela forming an odd couple partnership and heading off into "Deep Texas," in a terrifying search that will put them on a collision course with a vicious serial killer.
