Eric, Mindy and Cindy drive with their mom and dad to the Catskill Mountains where they spend the entire summer at a family resort. Their dad plays accordion in the Pleasant View Lodge dance trio. The saxophone player, whom everyone calls Peter, has two older daughters Rosemary and Leona. Together the five children organize their own special club called the Chicken Coup Gang.
What do you do at a summer resort? Eric, Mindy and Cindy come up with the funniest and sometimes most daring adventures ever dreamed up by kids on vacation. The land of old Rip Van Winkle is now gripped with action as the Chicken Coup Gang challenges the guests of the lodge with spoon diving contests, masquerade balls, talent shows, softball games, horseback riding, ghosts of the civil war and much more.
