Uncorked is the second collection of stories from the Napa Valley Scribblers. This book of short stories, memoirs, poetry and excerpts from novels celebrates their 20-year anniversary. The membership has changed over the years, but the spirit of camaraderie, support and excellent writing continues. The stories include such diverse themes as Mayan treasure, errant chickens running loose in St. Helena, the clash between tradition and technology in India, coming of age in Oklahoma, a torrid dance in Haiti during the 60s, teaching in Afghanistan in the 40s and General MacArthur?s attack on WW I veterans during the 1932 Bonus March.
