In this book, the agents, threats or personal traits and unwholesome yearnings that disrupt and destroy established marriages, have been likened to viruses that malignantly destroy plants, animals and human cells. When agents of divorce creep into, and succeed to attack a marriage, they produce multiple destructive effects in that family. Their initial victim may be the wife, but if the husband is unmindful, they infect him unawares also. The divorce virus acts like leprosy; eating fast into the cells and corroding the established traits of both couples. Since it is almost impossible to detect the initial strokes that disable the connecting chains, only vigilance and steadfast interactive dispositions can save marriages from its deadly claws. When one of the couple or both of them begin to ignore strange attitudes or condone them in the name of love, they give the virus more time to develop and grow until it shoots out uncontrollably. It is also possible to prevent the entry of a virus into a family by taking precautions. To prevent fighting a lost battle, it is helpful to pay the price of eternal vigilance and make constant cross checks on one another. More than that, there is no therapy greater than keeping to the initial ideals that built up the marriage from the scratch; better still, embracing new ideals that may work better than conservative approaches.
