In the first book of this series, entitled Josh Halliwick's Madness, Josh gambles his own freedom from a mental hospital in order to rescue a paralyzed patient from brutal assaults by hospital attendants. The new novel, Schizophrenic Vigilante, takes up Josh's story after his discharge from the hospital. Filled with good motives and bad advice from his inner voices. Josh adopts for himself the fictitious role of "free-lance espionage agent." and sets out to right injustice. His quest turns out to be bad news for extremists.
