Who Run the World is about a young woman who had a rough life growing up on the streets of Baltimore. She finds a job and her life does a complete 360 turn when the owner of the store where she now works makes her an offer to be his mistress. He promises her that he would make her life much better than it is now, by giving her money, gifts and all the things that she has always dreamed of. The catch was she could not tell anyone about this secret. Just before the owner of the store pops the question, she met Kwali, a young man that she is truly beginning to like, but since they were just friends she took the owner of the store up on his offer. Little did she know, she was going to fall deeply in love with Kwali and the money that she started getting from her lover. It was getting hard for her to keep this secret, because she was trying to live a normal life, but she also started living lavish because of the gifts that she was getting. She has to make a decision and a fast one, so she decides to tell Kwali her secret and she has no idea what he is going to do or how he is going to react.
