A Twenty First Century Modern Faust Story With A Twist. Faust, the man who had been fascinated by the idea that a man might sell his eternal life for love and unconditional happiness. Faust is the ambitious young man and a great scientist, intelligent and extremely well mannered almost to the point of perfection. One evening, sitting alone in his lab Faust lamented his joyless existence as he was drinking. He had become disillusioned and a bit weary of his life. He was disoriented and finally had called upon the powers of darkness. Suddenly, to his astonishment the Devil, Mephisto appeared ready for Faust's order. Faust looked up at him and thought a chance like this comes only once in a lifetime. Then he made an unusual demand; "Give me the unconditional fulfillment of every dream, let me embrace the world and let me understand the action of mankind. Give me more genius of course and give me a true unconditional love." Mephisto offered to fulfill Faust's wishes upon certain conditions to which he must agree and as he spoke, he unraveled the Scroll from his hand which read;"A Pact With Mephisto." Then he handed Faust an old cock feather from his hat which looked like it was dripping blood from its tip. With a smile of a Decent Gentleman Mephisto declared as he pointed the line with his alabaster long finger; "Thou Must Sign Right Here." Perspiration washed across Faust's brow as he picked the cock feather still dripping blood from its tip and signed the contract. Would the bargain be made and would Mephisto obtain his Glory? Only the time will tell.........
