Meet Me at the Lockers is a novel in short stories geared to make readers laugh and stay engaged with a chapter book. Meet Me at the Lockers are tales written through a fictitious character named Matt Richards. Matt encounters many highs-and-lows in his fifth grade year such as his father losing his job and dealing with class bullies. Matt also is buried at lunch one day by his sarcastic twin brother Doug who takes to teasing Matt seriously about his problem with acne. Matt survives the roller coaster by meeting his new best friend Brie Smith. The two embark on many journeys together and Matt realizes maybe his problems don't amount to a 'mess of beans.'
