Ann Jardee, a self-assured teacher with a stable career in Colorado, was left an inheritace by her obscure uncle in France, as he felt she was "French in Spirit." She decided to take a year sabbatical to settle her uncle's estate and sample French Life. On her first day in Paris, she was saved from a life-threatening experience by sophisticated, wealthy Jacques Chevalier, who offered her a position at his language institute. To ensure Ann's acceptance, he convinced her best friend, sexy, fashionista, Alexis Dixon, also to work with him. With "Lexi" at her side, Ann soon discovered that France offered adventure beyond what their travel guide-books had informed them to expect.
