There are dozens of books out there; books that proudly claim without reservation that Jesus was irreligious or even sacrilegious. I suppose it?s in vogue to make such observations, but in reality nothing could be further from the truth. Jesus? life and teachings are a far cry from being irreligious or sacrilegious. Yes, he was profoundly frustrated and angry with the then religious leaders and what religion had become, but his mission was not a mission of dismissing religion. His mission was one of boldly reclaiming religion, and all the beauty that comes with it. It is here that hope surfaces; there is a religion worth considering; a religion worth living. It?s called the Religion of Jesus.
