It was to this realization that Kitty practically raised herself and worried about her future, if she should ever become pregnant. Along with this gift came some rather amazing abilities, as the various animals could actually communicate with her and were well aware that she was a healer. Kitty however was the first in her family to actually get an education and this set her apart from what had came along in the past. She at this same time learned that the gift protected her, to the very dire consequences of any meaning her harm. Then Kitty decided to become a doctor, just so that she can be near the ones needing her help, without giving away her secret. She helps many in amazing ways and learns to deal with the bad people at this same time. Not many know what is in a person's heart; but Kitty can actually see an aura about an individual, well before she even comes in close. She really had no intention of finding a mate, as she felt that would be the end of everything. Martin was just not supposed to mean that much to her, but the heart does grow fonder when we are apart. Kitty saves Martin, his whole family and many others; prior to discovering just what may save her own life in childbirth.
