Yoko finds her job in an American call center monotonous and unchallenging. She is thankful however for her loving boyfriend, Chris. But Yoko later discovers that their happy relationship was merely an illusion when he abandons her for a much younger woman. Yoko subsequently experiences a nervous breakdown and feels that her life has ended. But with the help of a supportive mother and the discovery of a family in the UK that she had never known about before, she becomes stronger in herself as she stays on her path of healing and recovery. An opportunity to move to the UK and start a new life there later arises and Yoko takes it. There, she falls in love with an old Victorian mansion, which she plans to renovate and turn into a successful bed and breakfast business. But to Yoko's shock, she finds that Bellvue House is actually haunted, which she finds hard to accept as she has never believed in the paranormal, but if she wants to stay there, then she will have to face her fears and help the unhappy spirits move on to the other side. With the help of a top paranormal investigation team and a spiritual psychic medium, they all work together to get to the bottom of what once happened at Bellvue House. When its grisly past is revealed and the explosive news is leaked to the media, it leads to further opportunities and success. But being successful isn't everything in life, and Yoko still has to come to terms with her own painful past, and difficult though it is, learn how to trust in love again.
