Shelly and Kendra meet as Christian Peace Team members (CPT-ers) in Jerusalem, become lifelong friends, and discover love and romance as they start their families and seek to make the world and America live up to their highest ideals. They must reevaluate their lives, religion, values, and goals as their lives are changed because they make the necessary sacrifices demanded by peace. They meet a king and leaders, survive being shot and trampled, uphold family obligations, and foster the preservation of the true Bedouin horses of poetic and lyrical distinction along the way.
