The illustrations and lyrics are to be interpreted through the eyes of Kasey, a fictional child that loves music and plays the guitar.

Children will learn to play along with music recordings using simple notation, audio and video recordings. The high energy and hip play-along tracks will inspire young learners to play their guitars. The music breaks out of the ?little kid music? stereotype by introducing several different styles of engaging music including: funk, rock, reggae, hawaiian, jazz and country. Each song has ?Dr. Seuss? style lyrics that a parent/teacher or child can read before they learn to play the song. Music notation is displayed at the bottom of each page and it shows the notes that the child should play on their guitar. Every song includes three ways that the song can be learned and played (tablature, standard notation, and chord diagrams).

Kasey?s Guitar Jams For Kids isn?t intended to be a comprehensive method for learning the guitar. It is simply a fun way for children to learn to play along with music recordings and develop basic playing techniques.
