Passage Through Autumn Leaves
Ray Anthony Ramirez
As a Puerto Rican born in the South Bronx of N. Y. on November 10th, 1978, Ray is a product of the 1980's and 1990's in which violence was a major part of his environment and home. At the age of 19 Ray was indicted for Federal Crimes of which he accepted his guilt and is currently serving his prison sentence of 48 years while he pays his debt to society. The inspiration for his poetry comes from the pain and struggles he has faced internally and externally. Over the years Ray has watched his daughter grow from a distance, a distance he tries to overcome with letters, phone calls, and occasional visits. His daughter is the center of all his inspiration and the writing projects he's currently working on are all in honor of his princess whom he loves dearly. His second book of poetry is loosely titled "PASSIONS" and it is a work in honor of the female spirit and what he calls the guardians of a "man's soul"
