This is actually 4 books all related to each other but they are short enough stories so I placed them into one nice novel: The Earth has been plagued with a terrible disease. Like Rabies only so much worse.. A space ship is being prepared for the purpose of helping those not infected have a new chance on a better world. Using volunteer Death Row inmates to help build and get the ship ready for space travel is at first their top priority and their only means of escaping certain death. Only they hadn't counted on Brann Gaumny and his scheme of completely taking over the space ship after it is launched. But the trip will be very long and require that all enter into stasis sleep in order to reach Planet America. The inmates and staff must learn to live together if they are to survive, but the colonists have no intentions of letting the inmates ever wake up from their frozen sleep chambers.
