A black man from the Deep South - Selma, Alabama, writing prose about his life, the lives of those he grew up with; and, the rarely understood life of blacks living in a small, segregated southern town; and, the consequences of the Iraq War. This manuscript has three separate compositions: "Back When;" "Dried Chicken Feet and Turtle With No Tongues;" and "The Secretary and The Pain." The manuscript has 456 pages and 29,918 words. This includes the Contents, the Introduction, a few words of "thanks," as well as, a very short paragraph about the author. I would like this book published under the pseudonym "Chester Alfonso."
