In the Stillness: A Spiritual Response to Ritual Abuse follows Barbara B. in recovery from ritual abuse, examining four aspects of the abuse: the practice of mind control by ritual families; ritual desecration; the hardship and peril of escape; and the lasting impact of sexual exploitation. Barbara's adult recovery illustrates how each aspect of evil was countered by and, ultimately, rendered ineffective through her developing spirituality.
