Publisher Marketing: Solutions to the major problems afflicting the U. S. are given. The purpose of government should be to enforce a fair competition for the rewards available in society, a competition based on merit. Here are some of the suggested solutions: The current system of high school and college education should be replaced by apprenticeships and adult education. Global warming should be addressed by increasing nuclear power as well as solar and wind, heavily taxing gasoline, and developing an Interstate Railroad System. Political parties should be banned. The Office of Management and Budget must allow spending only the $ amount the government receives each month. We must stop swindling our youth, and fold Social Security into the health care system. The marriage license must be transformed from a license to steal, to a universal system of child support. The insurance industry must be dismantled, and the stock market drastically reformed. The population explosion should be tackled by curtailing immigration, and by mandatory sterilization of all 12 year olds with significant genetic impairment, whether physical or mental. The current wasteful system of health care must be replaced, and all treatments with high benefit and low cost should be free. Discrimination should be addressed not by affirmative action, but by making everyone in the offending organization reapply for their jobs along with outsiders. People biscuits should replace the current food stamp program. Housing costs should be reduced by a law allowing "house trailers" on any lot zoned residential. A TV show popularizing these and other solutions is outlined.
