Some of the images within Concentric Penumbras of the Heart are recognizable by most of us - an older sister leaving home, a marriage proposal refused, a great-grandmother?s long lost eyelash. Others, however, are much less recognizable (for some of us) - a peregrine?s yearning, an alley rat mourning, a bear in heavy fur keeping a promise - and, throughout this collection is the interwoven presence of long sad sighs from our harbingers.
