Publisher Marketing: While Sam Sword is sound asleep and his head is pillows on Star's laps, her magic golden rose brings him to another world. There he will meet the Jade Guards. The Heavenly Sea dragon is waiting to appear and greet him. Tom Cupcake's secret and mystery will keep readers guessing to the end; who and what is he? Silver Moon, Tom Cupcake is the first segment of this fancy legend created by author, Luong Ung-Lai. Although English is her second language, and she has a learning disability with pronunciations, spelling, and cannot adapt the past and present tense, she is getting much better with her writing! Silver Moon, Tom Cupcake started with just a couple of words here and there, something Luong pursued just to pass the time; forgotten even for a period after she emailed them to herself, then later she paste them into a book. Silver Moon, Tom Cupcake offers audiences a rich variety of humor with a taste of Chinese myth and magic, colliding with western modern science, and time travel. This exciting saga of mystery and romance is like no other. Silver Moon, Tom Cupcake brings out the legend of the Lotus Flower with its symbolism of goodness and purity, and much more like, the Lady of Mercy standing at the center of a beautiful, pink, lotus flower, smiling from the sky. This is a saga filled with more mystery, romance, humor, adventure, science, myth and magical battles that fire up the sky - enough to satisfy any readers' hunger. The harrowing experiences she endured at age eleven during the rise of the Khmer Rouge in 1975 included having to smell and walk on dead bodies, and subsequently watching helplessly as her grandfather and mother died slow and painful deaths in succession. Six years after leaving Cambodia, Luong started writing The Freedom... Cage in 1987, shaping her memories into a narrative form in a process of psychological healing. Her story is presented here with newly composed poems and a closing author's note to provide additional context. Luong is presently preparing a new book of romance, laughter, and tears entitled, Silver Moon, Tom Cupcake.
