Mack is a genius. She may only be fourteen years old, but she is a genius nonetheless. Nothing can stifle her creativity, not even the dismal time she lives in. Whereas others walk around with no hope and no joy, Mack believes there is something more. This is confirmed when she gets her latest invention, a time machine, working and travels to a time where she witnesses people who are happy to be alive and even happier that it is Christmas! Mack convinces her friends to help her on her journey to find Christmas. The group travels through space and time, picking up Santa Claus and Ebenezer Scrooge along the way. With each stop, the meaning of Christmas becomes clearer to the travelers and the urgency to bring that message home more pressing. Of course, time travel can be tricky especially with the betrayal of a desperate friend looming. Will Mack and her friends ever make it home to save the people of their time? What will become of their search for Christmas?
