This book pertains to a sailing adventure experienced by eleven people from several different countries on a schooner out of Puerto Williams, Chile. The main purpose of the voyage was to sail around Cape Horn (called by many "Cape Horn the Terrible" and "the Mount Everest of Sailing"). This voyage begins on a lovely schooner with billowing sails that traverses the Beagle Channel, as well as Nassau Bay and various other regions of Tierra del Fuego only to face a storm in the dreaded Drake Passage at the foot of Cape Horn. Sailing in dangerous waters in the Battleground of the Sea Gods while 'rounding the Horn is an epic voyage that no one would ever or could ever forget as long a he lived--and one that any self-respecting adventurer would do all over again in a heart beat!
