A young woman has been killed in a cheap hotel room near Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. The killer is a five hundred year old vampire who has hit rock bottom. It is at that moment he begins his struggle is to come out of the darkness and into the light. The story covers a three day period during present day. The ending has a Twilight Zone flavored twist.
